Music Bridge is a tool that allows you to work remotely on a musical or audio project. Composition, recording, and mixing—we're each locked in our own home studio, while production is something that needs to be done together. The keyboard player needs guitar tracks, the guitarist wants a drum session, etc.

The purpose of this service is to enable these collaborations without having to travel, with everyone working from their own workstation or home studio connected to the bridge via the internet with their current partner.

It's also very suitable for distance learning sessions between a teacher and one (or more) student(s).

Please note: this is not a tool for playing together or rehearsing remotely; there are dedicated apps for that, such as Jamkazam or Jamulus. The purpose of Music Bridge is to be a web application running on a standard browser that enables audio/video meetings between musicians by incorporating the professional audio equipment we have available (USB card, console, microphones, MIDI keyboards, etc.). This is not intended to solve the latency issues inherent in remote communications.

To use Music Bridge, you need to create an account on the website. You can then organize three sessions for free, and then, if you're convinced by this free trial, you'll have to pay approximately €1 per session. Sessions are sold as tickets, valid for one week. Once purchased, you can organize one or more musical work meetings with your partner(s).

The technology used for online meetings is Zoom, which we're all familiar with from having held a few meetings in 2020 during the Covid crisis.

The recommended browsers for running Music Bridge are Chrome and Firefox; the service has been tested and validated on these platforms.
